Believe it or not, I used to not be the type of person who set goals and planned things out, but I’ve discovered that a little bit of planning and some reflection are really really good for your business.
Now look, I’m not a goal setting expert by any means but I’m going to share some ways I have learned to set meaningful goals and the kind of goals I’ve set that have made a difference in my business and life. So, let’s get started!
Watch the video or read below!
First, get a planner. I don’t care if you are an electronic person or a paper planner person. Get a calendar and sit down and look at it. What major dates are there? What vacations are you thinking about? How do you want your holidays to look? Go ahead and write them down.
Now, start to think about what you want to accomplish in your life and business. If you are having trouble envisioning what these goals are or could be, I highly recommend finding a tool to walk you through this process. Personally, I love the Powersheets from Cultivate What Matters but there are lots of other options out there.
Ok, so let’s say you’ve done the work, you have some goals, you have a calendar. Now put the two together. Where does it make sense to launch a new product or a new podcast and how will it serve your greater goal?
So what are some of my goals for the new year? Well, I will definitely be focusing on this Youtube channel and my new podcast but I also want to really focus on my other podcast, growing and cultivating that community as we go in 100 episodes.
Happy goal setting!
